Portal's Debut

The Portal's debut was a success. The Idahostatesman even did a photo shoot and wrote an article in this Friday's paper. Here is the link. I had the sculpture at the YFFN monologues tonight and it was a success as well. People have responded so enthusiastically to the sculpture and the intention of the artwork. People have really appreciated the hope that the sculpture is bringing to them after the election results. They have also responded to the idea of socially engaged artwork and the new role of the artist as a public intellectual.
